I am relatively early on in my natural wavy/curly hair journey, so I have been through a bit of trial and error the past 5 months. This product is very rich but light, which I have found to be effective on my hair texture (medium-high density/medium-thick strands). I purchased this as part of the Style & Refresh combo, so I am still trying it different ways. I really liked it as the base product followed by the Hi Density gel which gave great volume and definition. I am still experimenting with it as a refresh product, but so far so good!
