On Wash Day:
- cleanse and rinse hair and scalp,
- optional: apply Untie the Knot Nourishing Leave-In Conditioner if hair is prone to dryness and more moisture is needed
- while hair is still wet, apply Aloe Vera Curl Primer to your waves or curls, starting with a quarter sized amount
- evenly distribute product through hair to detangle knots and smooth strands.

To Refresh between Wash Days:
- Apply to dry, damp, or wet hair, to increase moisture and define curls between wash days.
- Evenly distribute product through hair

I use this on wash days. I apply it to my wet hair...and then I either blow it straight or add more products (TreLuxe) and diffuse for a wavy style. I love that it is aloe vera based and that it provides such excellent protection from the heat of the hair dryer. It makes my hair feel softer and less dry. And added bonus was when I planned to go wavy one day but then changed my mind before putting gel in, so I just blew it out with this primer already in....the hold was subtle but it was there. It's rare that I will write a review for a hair product but this one is a holy grail item for me!

I wasn't sure what to expect from the Soothe and Restore primer or how to use it. I got it on a whim and it sat in my shower for a long time. I finally tried it: first using instead of conditioner, or with a conditioner when I feel my hair needs a bit more moisture. It smooths my hair, perfectly enhances the curl (no fancy styling needed!), and does not weigh down my fine curls. This is day 2 hair and all I've done is smooth over it with my damp palms.
