Q: What is your favorite TréLuxe product and why? How do you like to use this product?
A: Until very recently my favorite was Untie the Knot Nourishing Leave-In Conditioner, which I still love, but the Soothe & Restore Aloe Vera Curl Primer is an absolute GAME CHANGER! I don't know what I was doing all my life before this magic curl care potion entered the picture. It is so versatile and has a ton of uses, but it is the absolute star of the show for my refresh routine. I put it on slightly damp hair (almost dry really) and it completely revives my curls in seconds! It is the perfect moisturizing primer and smooths down the cuticles of my hair so any lingering frizz just disappears. I follow up with a small amount of either the Hi Def gel or the Curl Defining mousse and I'm good to go!
Q: What is the one curly rule that you break?
A: I use a wide-toothed comb in the shower sometimes if I'm feeling too lazy to finger detangle.

A: They're as unique as I am!

A: I'm enjoying passing on curl care knowledge to my little niece :) I wish I had more of it growing up, and helping her makes me feel extra proud of my own curl care journey. These coils and I have come a long way!

A: Curly bun! Easy to do, looks elegant, and no one knows you're secretly battling some seriously unruly curls.

A: Soothe & Restore Ultra Moisturizing Deep Conditioner by far! I generally use this once a week as a conditioning treatment to add moisture to my hair, and it always delivers!

A: All of them? Literally, I just do what's best for my hair. I don't plop, I use dry shampoo, I think satin pillowcases are weird, etc. I do what I want hahaha!

A: How easy they are to manage, and how jealous people get when they ask if it's my natural hair!

A: I just...do. It's hard to explain, but I went through such a long period of time where I hated my hair, and now I absolutely love my curls. So, I go with it, no matter what they're doing - sticking up, being crazy, or actually behaving. I just go with it and love them either way!
Q: How do you handle "bad hair" days?
A: With short hair, it's super hard to "hide" a bad hair day, so I will do as much of a refresh as I have time for. I'll get the hair damp, and reach for one of my go-to styling products to hopefully tame the craziness and get through the day!

A: My hair is healthier than it's been in years.

A: I wore locs for over 12 years. Within the last two years, I cut hair and embraced a short, tightly curled, and healthy natural.

A: I crown my head with a cute hat on bad hair days.

Q: What is your favorite TréLuxe product and why? How do you like to use this product?
A: It has to be the Soothe & Restore Aloe Vera Curl Primer! There is some kind of magic in this product that makes it great for everything. I like to use the Curl Primer as a leave-in after I shampoo and condition. I feel like it makes the following stylers work better with my waves and curls. It also works GREAT as a refresher on damp or dry hair!
Q: What is the one curly rule that you break?
A: . . . I use heat sometimes. Don’t yell at me! Sometimes I like to change it up and straighten my hair or use a curling iron just for a little something different. I also don’t always have the patience for diffusing my hair so I use high heat sometimes to get my hair dried faster.
Q: What do you love most about your waves, curls, or coils? ❤
A: I love how I can do so many different things with my hair. Wear it down, throw it in a clip, a messy bun, a fancy up-do, it is fun to play with!
Q: How do you embrace your waves, curls or coils?
A: Four years ago I decided to embrace my natural waves and curls. I grew tired of sweating my butt off by blow drying my hair and then using a curling iron to add a wavy back into my hair, when I already had wavy/curly hair. Now, I get compliments on my hair all the time and it makes me feel good because I actually try to take care of my hair and spend time keeping it healthy.
Q: How do you handle "bad hair" days?
A: Headband + a messy bun! I LOVE a good headband! Especially thick ones that keep all the little hairs in the back covered up. A headband makes a “bad hair day” a great & accessorized day!

Q: What is your favorite TréLuxe product and why? How do you like to use this product?
A: My fave is the Untie the Knot Nourishing Leave-In Conditioner. It has such a special place in my heart, because it has been so helpful on my journey as a curly mama. I remember before I started working for TréLuxe, I was a sleep-deprived first-time mom and in the craziness of caring for a newborn, my own curl care got lost in the shuffle. I had a big monster knot in my hair, ugh! This conditioner was such a blessing to get rid of that knot and get my curls back on track. Fast forward to being a busy mom of three and I still run into the occasional knot. This conditioner makes detangling super easy! I use it as a conditioner on #washdays and tend to rinse it out. I use it on my two young daughters as well. We absolutely love the cinnamon scent. We joke that they smell like yummy little cookies after they use it. Bring on the snuggles!

A: I sometimes grab a regular towel instead of a t-shirt or micro-fiber towel. I don't notice a major difference with increased frizz.

A: I love that they make my hair unique, and I love bonding with fellow curlies!

A: I have learned to embrace my curls by rolling with days when I don't feel like my curls are behaving exactly like I would like them to. My issue is usually a lack of time for curl care!

A: I love being part of a curl community, because I have found so many ideas on ways that you can accessorize curly hair. For instance, something simple like using a cute barrette or head wrap with a pulled back style can help make a "bad" hair day feel more pulled together.

Q: What is the one curly rule that you break?
A: Hmmm... I've been living the curly life for so long I forgot the rules! I currently do what works for me and my curls. But, in the beginning when I was still learning more about my curls one of the rules I broke often was skipping regular trims! I was so focused on length! I soon realized straggly long hair is not a good look! So I now get my ends trimmed at least 3 times a year- Beginning of fall - mid winter and mid summer.

A: The personality! They certainly highlight who I am. I love that I can play with colors. I love that I can be curly or straight. Soo much versatility with my curls.

A: By caring for them weekly & using my senses to learn what they need, i.e. more or less moisture, protein, deep conditioner, etc.
